Tracy has been a member of the Group since 2007, initially taking responsibility for the Family Support Group and then taking on the role of Chair in 2008. Tracy is married with a 7 year old son, Will, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and Coeliac Disease at the age of 2½. Will has been a pump user since the age of 5.

Nicki has been on the Committee for the past 3 years and took over as Secretary at the 2008 AGM. She is married with 3 children, the eldest of which, Alice, has Type 1 Diabetes and Coeliac Disease. Nicki and her family live in Stourbridge.

Andy joined the committee in 2009 after moving into the area. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2005 and in 2010 under a different health authority and his own concern it was realised that he was type 2. Andy used to control his condition with insulin and Metformin but now his condition is controlled with just Metformin.

Simon was diagnosed with Type 1 in August 2006 at the age of 35. When he was diagnosed his blood sugar was 67 but for the last 2 ½ years he has been very lucky to keep all his HbA1C's between 5.1% - 5.8%, hard work does pay off & reduce the risk of complications. Annabel was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child, 30 years ago. Two years ago she was also diagnosed with coeliac disease. She joined the committee in October 2010.

Denise has a son with type 1 diabetes, and is a welcome addition to our Committee this year
